About our Poker Tournaments
In addition to cash games, we also spread two types of tournaments:
- SNG Select - Learn more about SNG Select
- Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs) - Learn more about MTTs
Tournaments follow the same general poker rules, but there are several key differences between cash games and tournaments:
Tournament Overview
In tournaments, players buy-in for a fixed amount and receive a fixed number of starting chips. Tournaments begin when a predetermined number of players register or at a scheduled time, and the tournament doesn't end until one player accumulates all the chips in play, which varies from cash games as players cannot cash out on demand. A player can opt to sit-out, but they'll continue to be dealt in, paying the blinds and antes, and forced to take the most passive action (check or fold) until they return or run out of chips. Due to this, the duration can vary significantly depending on the tournament format, with SNG Select lasting only a few minutes and Multi-Table Tournaments spanning hours or days.
Please see our Tournament Rules for more detail information.
Tournament Tickets
Tournament tickets are virtual vouchers that players may use to join selected tournaments. Each ticket has an expiration date and a fixed value that can be used for selected tournaments with the exact same buy-in amount.
Players can win tournament tickets in satellite tournaments or receive tickets through promotional offerings. Players can view their active tournament tickets directly in the poker lobby by:
-
PC/Mac: Click on the ticket icon next to their available balance;
-
Mobile: Tap on the dotted menu and select the ticket option.
Blinds & Antes
The blinds increase at set intervals throughout tournaments to ensure the game progresses and to prevent it from lasting indefinitely. The blind levels for SNG Select can be found here, and the blind levels for each multi-table tournament are accessible within the tournament detail lobby.
To help players stay up to date with the blind levels, our players have access to an on-table widget that highlights the current blind and ante level and the upcoming blind and ante level:
